The Organization of the West Virginia Attorney General is looking for an experienced attorney to join its Arts, Education, Commissions, and Boards Division to represent the Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training.

Job Summary

The Assistant Attorney General/Office of Miners’ Health, Safety and Training will be responsible for litigating matters in administrative hearings and state circuit courts, with possible appellate work before the West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals. Additional responsibilities include assisting with policy development and implementation, engaging with other state and federal agencies on the client’s behalf, drafting legislative rules, appearing before legislative committees, presenting to administrative boards, responding to Freedom of Information Act requests, advising the client on day-to-day operations, and general counsel and advice.
