Job Title: Risk & Compliance Specialist - Life Sciences Compliance
Job Responsibilities:
- Work within the company's Ethics and Compliance (E&C) function, which is globally integrated and part of the second line of defense, managing risks to the company, clients, and employees.
- Report to the Director of Life Sciences Compliance, focusing on the identification and mitigation of ethics and compliance-associated risks for Life Sciences project delivery.
- Engage closely with client service teams to ensure compliance with contractual terms, guardrails, documentation retention requirements, and remediation plans.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and practices to identify, manage, and report on ethics and compliance risks in Life Sciences projects, including federal healthcare program requirements and other relevant regulations.
- Support strategic and operational initiatives to monitor project deliverables throughout their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with federal laws and regulations.
- Lead day-to-day E&C monitoring activities in Life Sciences projects, focusing on documentation retention and remediation plans.
- Synthesize data into insights for regular reporting on ethics and compliance matters for internal and external audiences.
- Provide content-based support for E&C-related training and communications for client service teams within Life Sciences, collecting data and building reports on adherence to training requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholder groups, including Legal and Risk teams, to support E&C program initiatives.
- Engage in regionally focused initiatives to promote the integrity agenda and raise awareness of the company's E&C program.
- Contribute as a thought partner within the E&C function, supporting key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives.
- Play a critical role in sustaining and evolving the E&C program, ensuring commitment to integrity and lawful practices.
Education and Experience Information:
- A Bachelor's degree is required; advanced degrees or applicable professional certifications (., Juris Doctor or CPA) are preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in the life sciences and/or healthcare industry is required, with prior consulting experience in risk and regulatory compliance preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in developing, driving, and implementing holistic E&C programs, preferably in life sciences and healthcare.
- Working knowledge of US federal and state laws and regulations in life sciences and healthcare is required.
- Outstanding English written and oral communication skills, including clear and concise writing, editorial skills, and excellent listening skills.
- Ability to influence and engage with all types of audiences to build trust-based relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain discretion and judgment in safeguarding confidential materials.
- Proven track record of fostering a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive environment for all colleagues.
Salary Information:
- For new joiners in Canada and the United States, the estimated salary range is $112,900 - $176,800 in USD and $125,600 - $157,000 in CAD. The actual salary may vary based on factors such as office location, experience, skills, start date, and organizational needs.
- Certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, subject to the company's discretion and based on individual and/or organizational performance.
