Job Title: Summer Internship
Job Responsibilities:
Interns in the organization will have the opportunity to work in either the Washington, DC office or the district office in Lima, Ohio. The responsibilities of the interns may vary based on the office location and the specific needs of the department. Generally, interns are expected to assist with various tasks such as legislative research, attending meetings and briefings, handling constituent correspondence, and supporting the staff with daily operations. The internship provides a hands-on experience in understanding the legislative process and the functioning of a congressional office.
Education and Experience Information:
Candidates interested in applying for the internship must have completed at least two years of college-level coursework. This requirement ensures that applicants have a foundational understanding of political science, communications, or related fields, which will be beneficial during their internship. The program is designed to accommodate students' academic schedules, with internships running approximately from Labor Day to Christmas for the fall term, New Year’s to Memorial Day for the spring term, and Memorial Day to Labor Day for the summer term.
