Job Title: Associate Corporate Counsel, Privacy Legal
Job Responsibilities:
The Associate Corporate Counsel for Privacy Legal at the company will be responsible for addressing complex privacy questions across all business lines of the organization. The role involves working closely with business leaders and legal teams to provide advice on global privacy laws and regulations. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing privacy policies and procedures.
- Monitoring new privacy laws and regulations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to address privacy concerns and implement best practices.
- Working directly with technology teams to implement privacy infrastructure for the company and its subsidiaries.
- Collaborating with public policy, public relations, and other teams to explain privacy policies and practices to regulators and customers.
- Providing ongoing privacy counsel across various businesses, focusing on data minimization, deletion, and data subject access rights.
- Defining regulatory compliance strategy and engaging directly with regulators.
- Counseling on new product initiatives.
A day in the life of this role involves serving as a key privacy resource for various legal and business teams throughout the company, helping them understand and meet their privacy obligations. The role requires solving a constant flow of novel privacy challenges across a wide array of growing businesses.
Education and Experience Information:
- Juris Doctor degree and membership in one state bar or equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of legal experience.
- Preferred qualifications include keen business and legal instincts, sound judgment in ambiguous situations, ability to deliver results independently and collaboratively, passion to embrace challenges and drive meaningful solutions amid complexity and uncertainty, and sharp analytical and communication skills.
Salary Information:
The base pay for this position ranges from $118,400/year in the lowest geographic market up to $195,700/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The company is a total compensation company, and depending on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
