The **Members Only** offers a comprehensive internship program for law students interested in gaining hands-on experience in criminal defense. Our program provides exposure to the practice of criminal law, courtroom litigation, and providing holistic representation to indigent clients. Interns and externs will have the opportunity to work directly with experienced attorneys on a variety of cases, including felony, misdemeanor, and juvenile cases. With offices in various locations, our internship program offers opportunities for students to gain valuable experience in different settings.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and prepare legal documents
- Assist attorneys in preparing for court hearings and trials
- Communicate with clients and take witness statements
- Address the judge and speak on behalf of clients in certain court hearings
- Gain experience in court procedures and local practices

Qualifications:
- Law students with a minimum of 30 semester hours of coursework
- Familiarity with Rules of Professional Conduct
- Ability to obtain a certificate from dean specifying time frame of internship
- Must meet minimum requirements established in local rules
