Job Title: Associate General Counsel, EMEA Disputes

Job Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute complex litigation strategies for matters pending before national and international courts across the EMEA region, focusing on content and product litigation.
- Collaborate and coordinate with key internal stakeholders including legal teams, public policy and communications colleagues, and business and product teams.
- Manage relationships with Outside Counsel, overseeing a busy docket with a focus on cost management.
- Provide internal legal advice across various subject areas, with a particular emphasis on assessing litigation risk during product development.
- Quickly and accurately assess legal, practical, and business risks, and present this advice to both legal and non-legal leadership.

Education and Experience Information:
- Qualified lawyer with over 8 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE) in a law firm or in-house legal setting.
- Experience in civil law litigation in Italy is essential.
- Experience in litigation, including handling cases before higher or appellate courts, is required.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment and make sound judgments under tight deadlines with thoroughness and accuracy.
- Experience in adapting to changing priorities and projects and willingness to work across different jurisdictions.
- Familiarity with Internet laws and regulations, including emerging areas and content-related legislation, with a proven record of providing litigation advice in these areas.
- Ability to explain complex technologies in concise and accessible ways to complainants and courts at all levels.
- Strong collaborative skills and the ability to work thoughtfully and inclusively with others are essential.
- Proven legal judgment, experience managing a significant docket of complex litigation in multiple jurisdictions, a strong work ethic, and leadership skills are required.
- Experience in building systems and processes to increase workflow efficiencies and providing executive and board-level updates and advice.
- Possession of a law degree or equivalent certificate that permits the practice of law and appropriate licensing and authorization to practice law in the assigned work location is required. Attorneys must hold a current practicing certificate or local law equivalent bar registration or license as applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with internet or technology companies.
- Additional language skills are preferred but not essential.
