Job Title: Law Fellow
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop legal expertise in areas such as housing, labor and employment, environmental justice, education, and health.
- Provide legal services to address core legal needs of rural Californians in CRLA’s priority areas, including Housing, Employment, Education, Rural Health, and Leadership Development.
- Engage in both direct services and systemic advocacy to eradicate poverty across rural California.
- Work within a network of 13 field offices located throughout rural California, focusing on eviction defense and tenants' rights through the Tenant Justice Project.
- Participate in regional projects like the Monterey County Medical Legal Partnership, Imperial County Health Consumer team, and Central Coast Homelessness Prevention Collaborative.
- Collaborate with CRLA during the fellowship application process to secure necessary funding.
- Consideration for longer-term employment with CRLA upon successful completion of the fellowship program.
Education and Experience Information:

- Demonstrated strong commitment to working with rural Californians and addressing primary issues affecting their lives.
