Job Title: Realty Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and technical guidance to state and local officials on real estate matters for local cooperation projects where the local or state government is the project sponsor.
- Acquire various property interests for military and civil works projects, including acquisition by easement, lease, permit purchase, exchange, withdrawal, transfer, etc.
- Acquire properties, including recruiting offices, National Guard armories, airport space, taxiway, etc., for various Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies.
- Represent the Real Estate Division in meetings with other government agency officials concerning real estate actions.
Education and Experience Information:
Minimum Qualification Requirements for GS-09:
- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience reviewing and researching real estate policies, procedures, regulations, and contracts related to federal in-leasing practices, and assisting higher graded staff in real estate-related tasks such as developing lease requirements, completing leasing documents, participating in lease negotiations. This experience is typical of work performed at the GS-07 grade level.
- Education: Master’s or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or . or . in a field related to the position, such as Real Estate, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience analyzing and applying real estate policies and procedures, including interpreting mapping and legal descriptions, reviewing preliminary property title reports, negotiating with property owners, and experience working with Project Delivery Teams on budgets and scopes of work. This experience is typical of work performed at the GS-09 grade level.
- Education: . or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or . in a field related to the position, such as Real Estate, Law, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.

- GS-09: $63,925 - $83,101 per year
- GS-11: $77,343 - $100,541 per year
- Albuquerque, New Mexico:
- GS-09: $61,774 - $80,305 per year
- GS-11: $74,741 - $97,158 per year
- Norwalk & Arcadia, California:
- GS-09: $71,244 - $92,615 per year
- GS-11: $86,199 - $112,053 per year
Additional Information:
- This position is part of a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation for . Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Real Estate Positions.

- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
