The Subrogation & Recovery Department at Cozen O’Connor, a leading national law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and organized department attorney to join our team in Denver. As a department attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of subrogation claims and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
- Intake, review, and handle 300+ claims per year involving property damage loss
- Coordinate investigations, including retention and management of experts
- Identify potential theories of liability and provide client reporting
- “Triage” new losses to determine viable claims for production attorneys
- Evaluate and close non-viable claims
- Litigate viable subrogation claims handled by National Subrogation Services
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the claims process
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and legal trends related to subrogation and recovery

Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Colorado State Bar
- 3+ years of experience in insurance subrogation and/or civil litigation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently manage a high-volume caseload

Salary Information:
- Salary range: $115k-120k
- Discretionary bonuses may be available
