Job Title: Tax Senior Manager - Private Companies

Job Responsibilities:
As a Tax Senior Manager within the department, you will play a crucial role in assisting private companies with a variety of business advisory needs, including audit, tax compliance, and planning. Your responsibilities will involve helping these companies improve their operational efficiency, allowing them to focus more on business strategy. You will be involved in the entire business life cycle of a private company, from inception through growth, maturity, and transition. Your duties will include designing and implementing personalized service plans for privately owned entities, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth individuals. You will address key issues such as wealth management, compliance, cash flow management, equity expansion, divestiture, and exit strategies.

As a Senior Manager, you will lead a team of problem solvers to tackle complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will be expected to:
- Encourage open dialogue and invite opinions from all team members.
- Effectively manage ambiguous and unstructured problems.
- Initiate coaching conversations across all levels.
- Transition smoothly between big picture thinking and detailed management.
- Anticipate stakeholder needs and propose solutions proactively.

Education and Experience Information:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor Degree
- Required Fields of Study: Accounting
- Minimum Years of Experience: 6 years

Certification(s) Required:
- CPA, Member of the Bar, or other tax, technology, or finance-specific credentials may qualify for this opportunity.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
Applicants should demonstrate an intimate knowledge and proven record of success in handling complex tax issues faced by non-publicly traded companies. Experience in day-to-day compliance and consulting for a variety of entities is also essential. Key skills include:
- Proven ability to identify and address client needs.
- Experience in building and maintaining networks of client relationships and community involvement.
- Strong communication skills to articulate value propositions.
- Proficiency in managing resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing, and collections.
- Experience in supervising teams to foster trust and innovation.
- Ability to provide timely and meaningful feedback to staff.
- Demonstrated leadership as a business advisor, including developing new relationships and introducing new services.
- Experience in innovating through new technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions.
- Proficiency in using digitization tools to optimize engagements.

Salary Information:
The salary range for this position is $119,300 - $328,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range. Actual compensation will depend on the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws.
