Position Summary:

- Seeking a strategic and creative federal tax professional with experience in tax-exempt organizations
- Opportunity to work with dynamic clients across various non-profit industries
- Responsible for providing tax compliance and consulting services, including restructuring, acquisition planning, and philanthropic tax planning
- Access to support from firm leadership and elite specialists
- Interact and collaborate with like-minded Tax-Exempt specialists from across the country

Responsibilities:

- Maintain and develop strong client relationships
- Advise clients on tax issues and strategies
- Oversee federal tax compliance and consulting projects
- Manage engagement team and resources
- Provide technical training and career guidance

The Team:

- Dedicated team of professionals committed to serving non-profit organizations and donors
- Collaborative approach with colleagues in Consulting, Audit & Assurance, and Advisory
- Cross-functional team of tax, audit, and consulting professionals in Deloitte's Global Center for Excellence in Philanthropy

Qualifications:

- 5+ years experience in federal taxation with a focus on tax-exempt organizations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field
- Active accreditation such as CPA, licensed attorney, enrolled agent, or certifications such as CFA or CFP
- Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

- Advanced degree such as Masters of Tax, JD, or LLM
- Previous experience with Big 4 or large CPA firms
- Strong understanding of federal tax compliance, analysis, and research
- Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring for tax-exempt organizations
- Excellent research, writing, and presentation skills
- Strong management and analytical skills

Compensation:

- Wage range of $84,980 to $193,440, taking into account factors such as skill sets, experience, and certifications
- Eligibility for discretionary annual incentive program based on individual and organizational performance
