The Tax Manager position with Andersen is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to advance their career in the world of Tax, Valuation, and Business Advisory. As a member of the Private Client Services (PCS) Tax team, the manager will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and gain valuable experience in individual, trust, and partnership income tax planning, consulting, and compliance. The role also offers the chance to work with estate and gift tax planning, providing a well-rounded and enriching experience for the right candidate.
The manager will be responsible for participating in various client service teams, utilizing their strong technical knowledge and experience to identify client issues and communicate with clients and financial managers. They will also have the opportunity to conduct research on various client issues, supervise associates and senior associates, and participate in the professional growth and development of their team members. Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of various client service teams, utilizing strong technical knowledge of individual, trust, and partnership income tax planning, consulting, and compliance.
Participate in identifying client issues and communicating with clients and financial managers.
Conduct research on various client issues.
Supervise associates and senior associates.
Participate in the professional growth and development of team members.
Utilize excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural facilitator.
Utilize excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Be a self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities.
Work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Utilize proficient technology skills, including MS Excel.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related degree.
Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (. CPA or JD).
At least 4 years of relevant work experience with an accounting firm, including at least 3 years of Private Client experience.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
Proficient use of technology, including MS Excel.
Salary and Benefits:
Competitive base compensation, with expected salary range of $132,000 to $190,100 for individuals hired to work in Los Angeles.
Annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance.
Discretionary long-term cash incentive program.
Other forms of discretionary compensation.
Benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance for employees and their families.
Enrollment in firm’s 401(k) plan upon hire.
Paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually, and twelve paid holidays throughout the year.
