Location:

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel on environmental and land use matters, including natural resources development, CEQA, NEPA, endangered species, and land use permitting.
  • Handle a diverse range of complex legal issues related to environmental regulations for private and public clients.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies for clients' cases.
  • Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for client meetings.
  • Represent clients in administrative hearings, negotiations, and legal proceedings related to land use and environmental matters.
  • Stay informed on changes in relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 6 years of experience in environmental law, land use, or related fields.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage complex legal matters with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with both internal teams and clients.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity and a creative approach to problem-solving.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • In-depth understanding of land use, environmental law, CEQA, NEPA, and related regulations.
  • Strong research and writing capabilities, including the preparation of legal documents and correspondence.
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide effective solutions.
