A law firm in Oakland, CA, seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of experience, preferably in class actions, and be ready to contribute to complex litigation cases.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
  • Manage and support all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and legal theories.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Analyze complex legal and factual issues to provide sound legal advice.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.
  • 3-4 years of experience in litigation, preferably in class actions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Proficiency in using case management software.
