Reed Smith's Managed Care Team is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Managed Care Litigation Associate to join our team. As a member of this industry focused team, you will have the opportunity to represent leading managed care companies throughout the United States in a wide range of cutting-edge matters. This includes litigation, class actions, compliance, regulatory work, false claims act cases, government programs, and governmental investigations.

We are looking for candidates with 3-7 years of experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with excellent academic credentials and strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. Significant experience in managed care or health care is required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:
• Representing leading managed care companies in various legal matters
• Handling multiple cases and managing regulatory or compliance matters
• Serving as the point person on litigation and/or counseling, including coordinating with other associates and staff and acting as client contact
• Conducting legal research and providing analysis and recommendations to clients
• Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Attending depositions, hearings, and trials
• Collaborating with other attorneys and staff to develop effective legal strategies

Qualifications:
• 3-7 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills
• Experience in managed care or health care is required
• Ability to handle multiple cases and manage regulatory or compliance matters
• Significant case management and/or client counseling experience preferred

Education:
• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Salary and Benefits:
