The Law Office of Vugar Jafarov in Sudbury, MA is currently looking for a motivated and compassionate Junior Associate Attorney to join our team. As a growing law firm, we are seeking someone with a strong interest in serving the immigrant community and a dedication to professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handling removal defense, affirmative and defensive asylum, family-based petitions, special immigrant juvenile cases, VAWA, U petitions, naturalization, and other immigration matters
- Preparing filings, appeals, and motions
- Attending USCIS interviews and frequently appearing in immigration and family court
- Communicating with clients in a compassionate and professional manner
- Working efficiently and collaboratively as part of a team

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in removal defense (preferred)
- 2 years' experience in business immigration (bonus)
- Strong academic and writing records
- Bar membership in MA, DC, or NC (preferred)
- Fluency in any foreign languages or experience with intercultural situations (preferred)
- Willingness to relocate if not currently local

We have a second office in Raleigh, NC (coming soon), but you will be based in our Sudbury or Raleigh office.

As a Junior Associate Attorney, you will have the opportunity to handle a variety of immigration matters including removal defense, affirmative and defensive asylum, family-based petitions, special immigrant juvenile cases, VAWA, U petitions, naturalization, and more. You will be expected to prepare filings, appeals, and motions, as well as attend USCIS interviews and frequently appear in immigration and family court. We are looking for someone who is a compassionate communicator, reliable, efficient, and a team player. We are willing to train motivated candidates, so don't hesitate to apply even if you do not have
