We are seeking a highly qualified Tax Associate with experience in transactional tax work to join our Global Tax group at our law firm. Our team is dedicated to providing inventive tax solutions for our clients' most complex business dealings worldwide. We have a top-ranked practice in various industry publications such as Chambers, The Legal 500, and News, and we are looking for a talented individual to join our team.

As a Tax Associate, you will be responsible for providing tax advice and solutions for a variety of corporate transactions, restructurings, financial transactions, and fund formation and investing. Your experience in M&A, private equity transactions, and cross border planning will be essential in this role. We are looking for someone with a strong background in transactional tax work, preferably with previous experience at a large law firm.

The salary for this position is $235,000 or higher, depending on your class year and experience. We offer competitive compensation packages to attract the best talent in the market. Our firm values academic excellence, and we require all candidates to have a JD degree, with an LLM degree being a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide tax advice and solutions for corporate transactions, restructurings, financial transactions, and fund formation and investing
- Utilize your experience in M&A, private equity transactions, and cross border planning to develop creative tax strategies for our clients
- Collaborate with our global tax team to provide comprehensive and innovative solutions for our clients' complex business dealings
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure our advice and solutions are always accurate and compliant
- Communicate effectively with clients and other stakeholders to explain tax concepts and strategies in a clear and concise manner

Qualifications:

- JD degree from an accredited law school
- LLM degree is a plus
- Experience in transactional tax work, specifically in M&A, private equity transactions, and cross border planning
- Previous experience at a large law firm is preferred
- Excellent academic credentials, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
