Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal consultation to clients and deliver strategic support throughout case proceedings.
  • Draft, review, and administer legal documents, including contracts, motions, and memoranda.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to compile trial briefs and prepare court cases.
  • Oversee discovery processes, reviewing documents to determine the best approach for each case.
  • Manage a schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences related to case management.
  • Represent clients in trials, hearings, and mediations, advocating effectively in each setting.
  • Conduct and facilitate depositions of experts and case witnesses.
  • Research and interpret relevant laws, rulings, and legal precedents to assess risks.
  • Handle case files from initiation to closure, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and managing expectations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of three years of litigation experience in construction defect or general liability matters.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in California.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in negotiation and persuasive communication.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to professional ethics and a collaborative approach.
  • Familiarity with legal technology and case management software.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active California Bar License.

Skills:
