Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced and motivated Associate Attorney to join its growing Atlanta office. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on premises liability, product liability, and other litigation matters. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team and have the chance to manage a substantial caseload while receiving guidance and mentorship from senior attorneys. This position requires a self-starter with a strong commitment to client service and a passion for growing within the legal field.

Location:
Atlanta, GA

Duties:

  • Manage a substantial caseload of litigation matters

  • Draft, prepare, and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda

  • Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions

  • Conduct legal research competently and efficiently

  • Prepare for and take depositions of parties and experts

  • Review client documents, prepare case evaluations, and draft status report correspondence

  • Participate in mediations and court appearances

  • Work with senior attorneys on case strategy and provide legal support

Requirements:

  • At least two years of experience in premises liability and product liability defense

  • Experience in automotive liability, property management, and/or commercial litigation is a plus

  • Licensed to practice in Georgia state and federal courts; additional state admissions are a plus

  • Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple case files in a busy environment

  • Knowledge of state and federal court procedures

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and prioritization skills

  • Ability to efficiently transition between cases and tasks

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active Georgia State Bar license required

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and analytical skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Superb organizational and prioritization abilities

  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple cases

  • Knowledge of both state and federal court procedures

  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
