Job Summary:
Shumaker is seeking an experienced Insurance Recovery Attorney to join their growing firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing policyholders in insurance recovery matters, negotiating with insurance companies, and when necessary, litigating to secure the maximum recovery. This position can sit in any of the following offices: Akron, Columbus or Toledo, Ohio; Tampa, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina or Charleston, South Carolina.

Key Responsibilities:
- Represent policyholders in insurance recovery matters
- Counsel clients on available coverage
- Negotiate with insurance companies
- Litigate to secure maximum recovery
- Manage all aspects of the insurance recovery process

Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Valid bar license for the state in which candidate will work out of
- 5+ years’ law practice experience
- Strong technological skills
- Superior research skills
- Superior organizational skills
- Project management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality

Physical Requirements:
- Sitting position static for up to one-half hour at a time
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Bending and stooping occasionally
