A reputable law firm based in Woodland Hills, CA is seeking a highly motivated Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney. This role involves managing all aspects of workers' compensation cases, providing legal expertise and guidance, and representing clients in court, if necessary. The attorney will handle a diverse caseload, engage in negotiations, and ensure excellent communication with clients and other parties involved.

Duties:

• Handle a full caseload of workers' compensation cases, ranging in complexity.
• Develop and implement effective litigation strategies.
• Conduct discovery processes and gather pertinent information.
• Attend court appearances and related legal proceedings.
• Litigate cases and represent clients in trials when necessary.
• Draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and correspondence.
• Prepare cases for trial, ensuring thorough review and planning.
• Communicate regularly with clients, opposing counsel, and other relevant parties.
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients on the best course of action.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience defending workers' compensation cases.
• Expertise in workers' compensation law and the litigation process.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle complex cases with professionalism and competence.
• Willingness to travel for court appearances and other legal matters.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Certifications:

• Must be licensed to practice law in the state of California.
