Temporary Litigation Paralegal Position Available at Law Firm in Seattle

Job Title: Temporary Litigation Paralegal
Department: Litigation
Experience: Minimum 8 years of paralegal experience with prior trial experience

Primary Responsibilities:

- Compiling and preparing materials for use by attorneys in discovery
- Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials
- Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file
- Assisting with the preparation of court filings
- Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege
- Tracking and controlling document discovery
- Coordinating trial set-up and logistics
- Summarizing depositions and other transcripts
- Working closely with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation
- Supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with demonstratives and courtroom presentation

Skills & Abilities:

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt and balance competing demands
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide outstanding customer service
- Working knowledge of office accounting methods and techniques

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new software
- Understanding of tax forms and returns

Qualifications:

- BA or BS degree preferred
- Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with 5 years of comparable work experience required
- Ability to multitask and use analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexibility in responding to client and legal team requests
- High level of productivity
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
