In Fall 2024, the PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) is looking for a part-time legal intern to join their team. As a nonprofit organization established by Congress, the PCAOB's mission is to protect investors and promote independent, accurate, and informative audit reports. The organization is dedicated to modernizing audit standards, enhancing inspections, and enforcing rules and standards to ensure the highest levels of audit quality.

Job Title: Fall 2024 Legal Intern
Location: Various locations within the United States

Salary: Competitive hourly rate based on education level and qualifications

Responsibilities:

- Assist attorneys and accountants with legal research and writing
- Review and analyze investigative materials
- Conduct research using legal databases and other web-based tools
- Prepare reports for attorneys and accountants
- Work with project teams on standard-setting activities
- Assist with comment letters and public meetings
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

- Currently enrolled in an accredited law school
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Proficient with Microsoft software applications and legal research databases
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong time management, organization, and prioritization abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with limited supervision
