Job Overview:
A dynamic and growing law firm is looking to hire an experienced Attorney to join its thriving team. In this role, you will focus on advocating for clients who have suffered harm, ensuring they receive the compensation they deserve while benefiting from the firm’s extensive resources and expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Client Intake & Initial Meetings:

    • Establish rapport and trust with clients by providing compassionate and clear communication.
    • Gather and document all relevant facts about liability, damages, and coverage.
    • Set expectations and outline action items for both clients and the office team to ensure case success.
  • Investigation:

    • Lead investigative efforts to strengthen cases for trial, including assessing insurance coverage and gathering critical evidence.
    • Work with expert witnesses and consultants as needed to build a solid case.
  • Negotiation & Settlement:

    • Evaluate the Full Settlement Value for each case and negotiate with opposing parties to secure fair compensation.
    • Maintain strong working relationships with adjusters to facilitate settlement discussions.
    • File suit and guide clients through the litigation process when necessary.
  • Litigation:

    • Draft and review pleadings, discovery, and other necessary court documents.
    • Strategize and prepare for trial, mediation, or arbitration proceedings, ensuring the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • General Responsibilities:

    • Review and approve correspondence drafted by team members.
    • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, ensuring the smooth progression of cases through the legal process.

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to handle complex cases and achieve full settlements.
  • Strong track record of client satisfaction, with a focus on achieving positive reviews.
  • Excellent negotiation and litigation skills, with experience in both settlement and trial.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team of paralegals, investigators, and other legal professionals.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Washington.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess and resolve complex legal issues.
  • Highly motivated with a results-driven approach.
  • Proficient in legal research and case management software.
  • Exceptional negotiation and litigation abilities.
