The law firm of Saul Ewing is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to join our Tax team in multiple offices across the country. This role is open to candidates in Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, Orange County, Philadelphia, and Washington DC. We are looking for a candidate with at least seven years of experience in tax law, specifically with federal and state tax matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partnership taxation, mergers and acquisitions, or tax considerations related to real estate investments. Knowledge of state and local tax laws is a plus, as well as experience with tax-exempt organizations. We prefer candidates with experience working in a large law firm setting and a strong academic background. Bar admission is required for the jurisdiction of practice.

The salary for this position will be determined based on relevant skills and experience, education, external market data, internal equity, and other job-related factors. The anticipated pay range for this role is $235,000 - $260,000. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth within the firm.

Responsibilities for this role include providing legal counsel and advice on tax matters to clients, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and communicating complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues.
