Job Overview:

A prominent law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in Immigration Law to represent clients in family-based immigration matters, as well as immigration-related litigation. This is an opportunity to work with a dynamic team handling cases before immigration courts, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and federal courts. The role involves direct client interaction, case management, legal research, and working closely with support staff.

Duties:

  • Assess eligibility for family-based immigration applications, naturalization, and relief before immigration courts.
  • Represent clients in presenting applications and attending interviews with USCIS.
  • Supervise and review the work of paralegals/legal assistants, including initial filings and responses to RFEs.
  • Manage client communication and ensure progress of cases through various immigration processes.
  • Review and train paralegals and support staff on immigration law and procedures.
  • Research immigration laws, procedures, and current trends in immigration litigation.
  • Draft legal correspondence, memoranda, and legal briefs.
  • Manage case information in case management systems, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date tracking.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure security of client information.

Requirements:

  • . or . from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice law in at least one . state.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in immigration law or litigation.
  • Spanish fluency is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of cases, work efficiently under strict deadlines, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team structure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) or Master of Laws (.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:
