Job Title: Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate
Location: Kansas City or St. Louis
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with experience
Experience: 4-6 years of litigation experience

Responsibilities:

- Draft complex case evaluations, pleadings, motions and other litigation documents
- Work on all aspects of litigation from inception through trial and appeal
- Conduct, propound and respond to discovery
- Collaborate with clients, witnesses, experts and other counsel
- Analyze insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes

Position Requirements:

Personal Skills/Attributes:

- Exceptional writing and analytical skills
- Effective communication of research into written work product
- Dedicated, goal-oriented and strong work ethic
- Superior organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, adversaries and courts
- Excellent interpersonal, networking and business development skills
- Embraces teamwork and values collaboration

Technical Skills:

- 4-6 years of litigation experience, with emphasis on insurance coverage
- Strong writing and case management skills
- Direct experience handling clients and adversaries
- Excellent oral advocacy skills
- Federal District Court or Appellate clerkship is a plus
- Experience handling PFAS litigation is a plus

Other Requirements:

- Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Missouri and be in good standing
- Law school transcript and writing sample required with application
