Duties:
- Represent clients in civil litigation matters, focusing on construction defects and general liability defense.
- Manage a caseload independently while working closely with colleagues and other legal professionals.
- Handle depositions and courtroom appearances, advocating on behalf of clients.
- Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal documents, including motions, briefs, and case reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, offering strategic legal advice and support.
- Collaborate within a team to share knowledge, resources, and experience to achieve successful case outcomes.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
- Proven experience in civil litigation, ideally within a law firm environment.
- Strong courtroom presence with experience taking depositions (trial experience is a plus).
- Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a team.
- Client-focused mindset with a dedication to achieving positive results.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
