Shulman Rogers, a well-respected and full-service law firm located in Potomac, MD, is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Trust and Estates Paralegal to join their Estates, Trusts and Probate practice group. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a reputable law firm and work collaboratively with a dynamic legal team.

The successful candidate will provide substantive legal support to attorneys in all aspects of trust and estate administration. This position requires a strong understanding of probate procedures, estate and trust administration, and proficiency in various electronic software used to prepare estate and trust accountings. The ideal candidate will also possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Prepare probate filings for Maryland, District of Columbia and Virginia
- Assist with administration of estates and trusts, including the sale and transfer of assets
- Prepare Federal and State estate tax returns
- Manage estate and trust administration in a timely manner

Requirements:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in probate and trust administration procedures
- Strong computer skills, including probate-specific tax and accounting software (GEMS preferred)
- Critical attention to detail and ability to manage a large case load
- Understanding of basic estate and income tax concepts
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff
