Associate Attorney - Class Action & Data Privacy (Chicago, IL)

O’Hagan Meyer LLC is seeking experienced associate attorneys to join their Chicago, IL office. This full-time position requires a minimum of 5 years of class action litigation experience, specifically in the areas of cybersecurity and data privacy. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of State and Federal court rules and procedures, as well as knowledge of CAFA, BIPA, and other data privacy laws. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, has strong writing skills, and is looking to advance their career in a highly respected law firm.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft and answer discovery requests
- Prepare cases for trial
- Assist with trial proceedings
- Communicate effectively with the court, clients, and opposing counsel

Qualifications:

- Juris doctorate from ABA-accredited law school
- Bar admission in the State of Illinois
- Familiarity with class action, cybersecurity, and data privacy litigation
- Strong organizational and writing skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload
