Location:

Duties:

  • Handle construction defect litigation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests and initial pleadings.
  • Draft, file, and argue motions related to construction defect claims.
  • Take and defend depositions in construction litigation matters.
  • Manage multiple projects and cases simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to provide effective legal solutions.
  • Provide high-quality legal research and writing in all phases of construction litigation.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in construction defect litigation (defense side).
  • Experience drafting, responding to discovery, and initial pleadings.
  • Proven experience in drafting and arguing motions in litigation.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload with competing deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active member of the California State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and drafting abilities.
  • Strong understanding of construction defect law and litigation processes.
  • Ability to manage complex litigation cases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
