Salary Range: $225,000 - $260,000

We are currently seeking a Global Employment and Labor Law Associate to join our North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group.

Job Description:
Our North America Employment & Compensation Practice Group offers clients comprehensive domestic and international employment law counseling and litigation representation. As a Global Employment and Labor Law Associate, you will be responsible for providing advice and counsel to multinational clients on US and cross-border employment issues, including transactions. This position requires 1-3 years of employment counseling and/or general employment litigation experience, and a strong background in international employment law. Top tier law firm experience in an employment practice is preferred, along with excellent academic credentials and strong communication, analytical, and writing skills. The ability to work effectively in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members is also a must.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and counsel to multinational clients on US and cross-border employment issues, including transactions
- Assist with international and domestic labor and employment issues, from expansion into or exit from new jurisdictions to deploying and managing a global workforce
- Defend clients in litigation in both state and federal court
- Translate the international landscape for in-house counsel and managers with global responsibilities
- Lead cross-border and multi-disciplinary employment projects, providing commercially practical support for our clients’ global operations

Requirements:
- 1-3 years of employment counseling and/or general employment litigation experience
- Background in international employment law preferred
- Strong academic credentials from a top law school
- Excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills
- Top tier law firm experience in an employment practice preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a global team environment with culturally diverse team members

Location:
This position is located in the United States, with offices in Chicago, New York, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

Salary:
For candidates living and working in our New York or California office, the annual salary range is between $225,000 and $260,000.
