Salary Range: to per hour

Job Purpose:

As a Legal Assistant in our Title Resolution Post Sale department, you will play a crucial role in preparing foreclosure deeds required for the post-sale process. This position requires a high level of organization and proficiency with Microsoft Word. You will work closely with our attorneys, clients, and outside parties to ensure timely and accurate document preparation and recordation.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare various types of deeds, including Trustees Deeds Under Sale, Sheriff’s Deeds, Special Warranty Deeds, and more.
Edit and revise documents as instructed by attorneys and clients.
Follow up with clients and outside parties to obtain executed documents.
Submit documents for recording.
Maintain accurate and organized files.
Record all communication with clients in our case-management system.
Image and label documents in our image center.
Monitor client website messages and tasks.
Provide administrative support to the department and serve as a backup for fellow Deeds Preparers.
Learn additional duties as needed.

Qualifications / Required Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 6 months of office experience or a college degree.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
Strong data entry skills.

Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment and requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers. You may also be required to interact with clients and outside parties in person or via phone or email.

Physical Requirements:

This job requires you to work in an office environment, seated for long periods of time, in front of a computer. You must be able to type documents, respond to emails, manage calendars, and answer phones.
