Parfums Christian Dior is looking for a skilled and strategic Legal Counsel to join our team in the Americas. As a Data Privacy/Compliance Counsel, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of data privacy and security matters for our company. This is a full-time, permanent position with a minimum requirement of 10 years of experience in a privacy-focused role.

The ideal candidate for this role must be agile, self-sufficient, and able to handle a fast-paced work environment with a broad range of responsibilities. You should have a deep understanding of data protection laws and regulations in the US, Canada, and globally, and be able to provide day-to-day assistance on privacy and data security issues. In addition, you will be responsible for managing privacy-related litigation and regulatory matters, as well as supporting digital marketing and technology projects.

Responsibilities:

- Manage all aspects of data privacy and security matters for the company
- Provide day-to-day assistance on privacy and data protection issues
- Track legislation and manage operational compliance and remediation
- Negotiate contracts and draft agreements
- Implement and refine company-wide compliance processes
- Assist with the development and presentation of compliance trainings
- Keep abreast of latest developments in applicable laws and regulations
- Work with Headquarter, other LVMH Legal Departments, and external counsel as needed
- Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

- US law degree or equivalent, 1-3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house preferred
- Minimum 8 years of experience in a privacy-focused role
- Outstanding writing and drafting skills
- Ability to self-start in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Exercise sound and strategic judgment
- Strong business acumen
- Ability to deliver complex legal advice in a business-friendly manner
- Ability to balance large volume of work through effective time management and prioritization
- Preferred but not mandatory:
- Mix of law firm and in-house experience
- In-house experience in a retail environment
- Must be eager and able to learn new areas of law and how they intersect with the business.
