Overview:
Visa is seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to join our growing Global Regulatory Affairs team. This position will report to a Senior Managing Counsel and will be based in New York. The Senior Counsel will be responsible for managing and coordinating complex regulatory matters and will work closely with other experienced lawyers across regions and practice groups to support and advise internal clients, develop thought leadership, and define and execute global strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with Visa's global and regional legal, business, and government engagement teams to manage highly complex and time sensitive regulatory matters.
- Support global and regional teams in developing and executing strategy, including drafting regulatory submissions and engaging directly with regulators.
- Develop and maintain global best practices in key regulatory areas.
- Manage multiple priorities, deliver high quality work, and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree and . with 10+ years of relevant work experience.
- Admitted to practice law in the United States and in good standing.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prior experience in payments, financial services, or technology preferred.
- Experience in government, in-house roles, or large global organizations preferred.
- Ability to develop strong relationships with internal clients at all levels.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive legal, regulatory, and business solutions.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently and collaboratively.
- International experience and fluency in foreign languages a plus.

- Travel may be required 5-10% of the time.
