A law firm seeks a dedicated and passionate Bilingual (Spanish) Personal Injury Trial Attorney to join its team in New Orleans, LA. This full-time, on-site role is located at the firm's Metairie office. The successful candidate will handle a variety of personal injury and civil litigation cases from start to finish. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated attorney to work alongside an experienced team and grow their legal career while delivering exceptional results for clients.

Duties:

  • Manage personal injury cases, guiding them through intake, settlement, or jury verdict.
  • Provide clear and consistent communication with clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the legal process.
  • Lead litigation tasks including depositions, drafting and responding to motions, and case research.
  • Develop and implement effective case strategies with the support of team members.
  • Serve as lead counsel during mediations and trials, advocating for clients in court.
  • Collaborate with staff, including legal assistants and case managers, to streamline case management and ensure progress.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury or civil litigation.
  • Active and in good standing with the Louisiana State Bar.
  • Experience in drafting and responding to motions and a strong understanding of civil procedure and evidence.
  • Fluent in Spanish, with the ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking clients.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and effectively work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership with the Louisiana State Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong trial advocacy skills, including experience with depositions, motions, and trials.
  • Exceptional ability to manage client relationships and work with support staff.
  • Fluent in Spanish with the ability to translate and communicate in both languages effectively.
  • High level of organizational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
