The ideal candidate should have at least 3-5 years (classes 2018 – 2020) of significant experience and a demonstrated interest in Tax Controversy. IRS, DOJ or Tax Court experience would be preferred, but not required. Candidates should have strong writing, analytical, and oral presentation skills. **Job Description:** - Represent taxpayers in the resolution of disputes with the IRS, DOJ, and Tax Court - Assist with the development of strategies to resolve controversies with the IRS or other government agencies - Draft pleadings, motions, and other documents for filing with the IRS, DOJ, and Tax Court - Prepare and present oral arguments in support of taxpayer positions - Negotiate settlements with IRS and other governmental agencies - Research and analyze tax law and regulations - Provide advice and counsel to clients on various tax issues - Assist with the preparation of tax returns and other documents **Qualifications:** - Must have a . degree from an accredited law school - Must be an active member in good standing of the bar in at least one jurisdiction - Must have 3-5 years of significant experience in Tax Controversy - IRS, DOJ or Tax Court experience is preferred, but not required - Must have strong writing, analytical, and oral presentation skills **Compensation:** The annual base salary ranges from $250,000 to $345,000.
