Job Overview:

The Executive Compensation And Employee Benefits Associate Attorney will play a key role in advising clients on various aspects of executive compensation and employee benefits matters. They will work closely with senior attorneys and clients to provide legal guidance and support in navigating complex regulatory frameworks.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on executive compensation and employee benefits matters, including plan design, implementation, and compliance.
  • Draft and review executive compensation agreements, equity-based compensation plans, and employee benefit plans.
  • Assist with mergers and acquisitions, conducting due diligence related to employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
  • Guide on regulatory compliance issues, including ERISA, ACA, and tax laws.
  • Conduct legal research and stay updated on developments in executive compensation and employee benefits laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other practice groups within the firm to provide comprehensive legal solutions to clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in executive compensation and employee benefits law.
  • Broad-based experience in advising clients on various employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while also being a team player.
  • Outstanding academic and professional credentials.
  • Admission to practice in the District of Columbia.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in the District of Columbia.

Certifications:

  • Certification in employee benefits law (., Certified Employee Benefits Specialist, Certified Pension Consultant) is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
