A law firm seeks a Junior Litigation Associate to join its dynamic business litigation practice. This role offers an opportunity to engage in both plaintiff and defense litigation, focusing on business-related disputes. The ideal candidate will have strong legal research skills, experience with written discovery, and a commitment to professional growth. This position offers opportunities for court appearances, including trials and appeals, as the associate’s career progresses.
Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
Prepare and respond to written discovery requests.
Assist in drafting pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and trial preparation.
Participate in court proceedings, with opportunities for trials and appeals.
Manage multiple cases efficiently while meeting deadlines.
1-3 years of litigation experience, preferably in business-related disputes.
Strong analytical and research skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
Courtroom experience is a plus but not required.
Juris Doctor (.) from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in Missouri.
Proficiency in legal research and drafting.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under deadlines.
