Estates & Probate Senior Attorney II Job Type Full-time Description A Estates & Probate Senior Attorney II is a high-level attorney position at a law firm, requiring at least 5 years of experience in the field. The successful Senior Attorney II is self-directed, able to thrive with support and autonomy, and has a strong book of business. This position will primarily handle cases generated through lead generation and marketing efforts, as well as referrals from other attorneys in the office. The Senior Attorney II is also expected to generate their own billable work and participate in community events and leadership opportunities. Responsibilities: - Mediation and trial experience - Legal research and analysis of complex issues - Drafting legal documents such as memorandums, briefs, and letters - Marketing services to potential clients - Performing discovery and due diligence - Strong communication and advocacy skills - Managing a schedule to meet production and collection goals - Closing consultations within a set range - Timely approval of invoices - Utilizing support staff effectively - Updating client information and billing records accurately - Sharing work tasks with other attorneys and support staff when necessary - Expanding personal and firm brand through social media, blogging, and community involvement - Seeking positive feedback from satisfied clients - Other job-related duties as assigned The Senior Attorney II is expected to bill an average of 1500 hours annually, with collections expected on 1400 hours of invoiced work. This equates to approximately 30 billable hours per week for 50 weeks per year.
