Macon office of a **Members Only** Top Ranked Law Firm seeks a complex commercial litigator with 5+ years of substantive litigation experience in personal injury or insurance defense experience. The candidate will serve in the day-to-day handling of both pre-litigation and litigation cases. Will be drafting and filing litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions, and memoranda of law. Guide plaintiff clients through the case process. Interaction with expert witnesses including conferences, drafting of expert reports, and affidavits. Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances. Must have experience working on complex matters in state and federal court. Should possess experience taking and defending depositions, handling all manner of discovery and motions issues, court argument, conducting hearings as well as exposure to a variety of court proceedings, including jury trial experience in state and federal courts. Should have a genuine interest in taking on increased responsibility within a practice covering a broad range of litigation subject matters, including premises liability, slip, and fall, security negligence, wrongful death, construction defect, dog bite/animal attack, and other high-level personal injury litigation. Demonstrable trial experience in state and federal court is essential. Must be an active member in good standing with the Georgia bar (AL bar licensure a plus).
