Job Overview
A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney to provide legal counsel, strategic guidance, and representation to clients involved in first-party property insurance claims. This role requires a thorough understanding of property insurance law, strong case management skills, and the ability to represent clients effectively in various legal proceedings. The successful candidate will work closely with clients, manage a diverse caseload, and ensure compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Duties

  • Provide legal representation in hearings, trials, arbitrations, and negotiations.
  • Conduct legal research to stay updated on changes in the law and provide accurate legal advice.
  • Consult with clients to understand their legal concerns and objectives.
  • Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
  • Analyze legal issues and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Manage a caseload and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other support staff.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting compelling legal arguments.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical and professional regulations.
  • Uphold confidentiality and attorney-client privilege in all interactions.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in Mississippi.
  • 5+ years of experience in property insurance law (preferred).
  • Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.
  • Commitment to maintaining continuing legal education.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar membership in Mississippi.
