**Paralegal - Housing Stability** Organization New Mexico Legal Aid (NMLA) is seeking a paralegal for its Statewide Housing Stability program to assist with serving eligible clients threatened with loss of their housing, housing subsidies, as well as statewide clinics and outreach. **Job Responsibilities** - Litigation Support - Eviction prevention - Habitability - Reasonable accommodations - Subsidized housing - Low Income housing Tax Credit - Other housing related work - Designing statewide clinics and outreach programs **Requirements** - At least three years' experience as a Paralegal is preferred but will consider exceptionally well qualified entry level candidates. - Should have or quickly be able to develop, expertise in housing and statewide resources available to low-income persons. - Must be able to effectively use computer technology and remote communications systems, including shared on-line workspaces and web meeting and videoconferencing software - Be able to effectively collaborate with staff located in multiple offices. - Possess excellent written and oral communication skills. - The ability to manage multiple tasks and build collaborative relationships within the staff and the community served by NMLA. - This is a statewide position and the candidate must be able to regularly travel. - Proficiency in Spanish is a plus. **Compensation** Pay is dependent upon experience, with NMLA offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package and generous holiday and leave package. **Application Process** Applicants must provide a current resume and a cover letter that explains their interest in this position and the mission of NMLA.
