Collections Attorney The candidate's duties include working with an existing team of attorneys, paralegals, and assistants, to efficiently obtain payment on large debts through settlement negotiation, lawsuits, special proceedings, and administrative practice. Should take initiative with files, actively participate in case strategy, and handle cases from inception through judgment enforcement. Should have 2+ years of civil litigation practice experience. Experience in nursing home collections is preferred. Must be admitted to practice law in the state of New York. Should have attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills. Must have the ability to recognize and respond to client preferences and demands, and excellent legal research, writing, and oral argument skills.
