Charlotte office of our client seeks a senior business attorney with 3+ years of business/corporate law experience, with an excellent working knowledge of corporate and LLC law statutes, case law, and documents. The candidate will provide a wide range of business and corporate legal services to clients. Will work under the general direction of the Owner and has broad discretion regarding control of matters assigned to them. Be involved with the day-to-day management of client projects, allowing the Owner of the Firm to focus on strategic planning, marketing, and sales to drive Firm growth. Drafting, reviewing, and revising business organizational documents, including operating agreements, shareholder agreements, bylaws, stock plans, consents, resolutions, and corporate minutes. Drafting, reviewing, and revising a wide range of commercial contracts. Conducting and managing business deals, including asset purchase transactions, stock purchase transactions, commercial loan closings, private equity investments, etc. Develop legal strategies and advise clients regarding their best legal interests, serving as the principal contact between the Firm and the clients. Oversee, counsel, guide, train, and mentor other attorneys and paralegals, including assigning work and tracking work products. Help with marketing, and networking by attending functions, writing articles, and speaking engagements. Develop new clients for the Firm. Should have proficiency with the following systems: Clio, Apple Mac iOS, G-Suite, and Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of HIPAA and related state and federal healthcare laws and documents desired. Experience representing physicians, healthcare startups, dietary supplement companies, medical/surgical device companies, medical management companies, and life science technology companies preferred. A license to practice law in good standing in North Carolina is essential.
