A law firm seeks an ambitious and dedicated Associate Attorney to join their growing team in St. Louis. The ideal candidate will be licensed in Missouri or Illinois (preferably both) and have an interest in civil litigation law. The firm is open to candidates with varying levels of experience, including those just entering the legal profession. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop strong litigation skills under the mentorship of seasoned attorneys with over 35 years of experience.

Duties:

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and depositions.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case development and preparation.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and other necessary agreements.
• Assist senior attorneys in preparing cases for trial and advising clients on legal matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and ensure effective representation.
• Take an active role in client meetings and provide updates regarding case progress.
• Manage multiple cases and meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of work.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active law license in Missouri or Illinois (preference given to candidates licensed in both).
• Strong work ethic, with a willingness to learn and grow in the practice of law.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Desire to gain hands-on litigation experience and grow in the areas of civil law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Missouri Bar or Illinois Bar (preferably both).

Skills:

• Strong research and analytical skills.
• Proficient in drafting legal documents, including pleadings and contracts.
• Excellent communication skills for client interactions and court appearances.
