Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Litigation Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join its team. The position involves defending federal and state employment litigation cases, with a focus on wage and hour disputes, workplace harassment, and discrimination claims. The role offers flexibility for remote work, with occasional office visits, and part-time or hourly options are available.

Location:

• Torrance, CA

Duties:

• Defend federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions
• Handle investigations before agencies such as the . Department of Labor, California Department of Industrial Relations, and EEOC
• Represent clients before the National Labor Relations Board on matters related to union organizing, collective bargaining, and unfair labor practices
• Manage employment litigation cases in both federal and state courts
• Provide legal counsel on employment discrimination, workplace harassment, and traditional labor law matters

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience
• Strong background in defending wage and hour cases
• Experience with investigations by federal and state labor and employment agencies
• Experience with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)
• Admitted to practice law in California
• JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admitted to the California State Bar

Skills:

• Strong litigation skills in employment law, particularly wage and hour disputes
• Experience handling class actions and collective actions
• Familiarity with federal and state labor agencies and their procedures
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Strong communication and client relationship management abilities
