Responsibilities:

• Provide legal guidance for the design, development, and launch of BCDC products and services
• Advise on legal implications of potential commercial transactions, new products and experiences, customer terms and conditions, vendor engagements, and marketing materials
• Develop BCDC policies, training, and toolkits
• Address regulatory questions regarding BCDC initiatives
• Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments that may impact BCDC
• Coordinate with international legal colleagues for BCDC initiatives outside the United States
• Assist the Government Relations team in evaluating and responding to regulatory notices and requests for comment
• Represent PayPal's interests and interface with regulatory agencies, enforcement authorities, and external counsel

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience practicing as an attorney with a focus on financial technology, payment systems, digital assets, and financial regulation
• Understanding of digital asset ecosystems and frameworks
• Team-oriented with strong ethics, judgment, and communication skills
• Familiarity with PayPal, Venmo, mobile and alternative payments, and the payments industry
• Ability to handle multiple assignments, tolerate change and ambiguity, and take ownership of projects and tasks
• Admitted to and in good standing with a state bar
