They will also work closely with the social worker department. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to public defense, social and racial justice, and equity, as well as at least 5 years of experience as a first chair in felony hearings and trials. A New York State Bar admission is required, and knowledge of relevant state laws is preferred. The salary range for this position is $88,057 to $144,564, and the Legal Aid Society offers a generous benefits package.
