Key Responsibilities:

- Consult with clients on legal best practices
- Review, prepare, and draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents
- Research legal issues, new rules, regulations, and laws
- Determine the best course of action for each case
- Adhere to a consistent schedule of hearings, court appearances, and case-related conferences
- Work with and supervise staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks

Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience in one or more of the following areas strongly preferred: bankruptcy, evictions, default litigation
- Persuasion and negotiation skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy
- Proficient in computer skills and technology
- Professional attitude and strong personal ethics
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills
- Proactive, engaging, and confident in your abilities

Qualifications:

- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in the state of New York
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a related legal field
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and case law in your area of practice

Compensation and Benefits:

- Competitive salary of $75, to $85, per year
